This project was launched in 2020 and is set to conclude in January 2024. As part of this project, Policy Impact Lab works alongside Blomeyer & Sanz to perform monthly monitoring of the impact of the European Institute of Gender Equality (EIGE) in EU-wide policy-making. PIL is responsible for the monitoring of uses of EIGE’s tools (publications, online tools and statistical databases) made by social partners, international organizations such as UN Women, and political parties, which feed into the analysis of EU institutions’ use of EIGE’s tools conducted by Blomeyer & Sanz to create monthly reports to track EIGE’s impact. In 2021 and 2023, PIL has also been responsible for the periodical analysis of quantitative data produced in the monthly monitoring: PIL’s researchers Fabio Belafatti and Daiva Repečkaitė, under the supervision of PIL’s director Elma Paulauskaitė, defined methodologies for re-coding, data harmonization, and data analysis to produce quarterly and yearly analyses of EIGE’s impact, monitor trends, and help EIGE identify areas of improvement.
