Travelling Caravan Orchestra (CarO) is a RED NOSES program for children with disabilities. The program is taken up by seven of Red Noses International member organisations, and takes place as a one-off encounter between the participating clowns and children in segregated learning settings, whether in special classes in mainstream schools or special schools. The evaluators used a mixed-methods approach involving direct observation of CarO performances in several countries, focus groups, interviews and participatory workshops including one on reconstructing the Theory of Change and, at the end of the project, a participatory sensemaking session to validate findings and support the development of a roadmap for the programme’s further development. The report produced includes a baseline to measure the program's performance over time.
