The European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR) is a community of service providers working with people with disabilities committed to high quality service delivery. The PIL team including Lara Bezzina, Fabio Belafatti, Ieva Giedraitytė, Jessica Strunkeit and Laima Pranskūnaitė Užpelkienė together with the EPR Secretariat developed, on the basis of the desk research, interviews, and case studies on 11 European countries conducted as part of this study, a synthetic overview on regulation and compliance with quality criteria for providers of social care services. The study team mapped systems and trends supporting quality social services for social inclusion with two main aims - to contribute to a better understanding of current and potential trends of the social service sector in the field of quality, and inform the European Commission about the developments and needs of this sector in order to inform policy making at the highest level.
