CEEP, the European Centre of Employers and Enterprises providing Public Services represents employers and enterprises providing services of general interest. Working with Wmp consult - Wilke Maack GmbH which oversaw the study on social services and their representation in social dialogue in selected European countries, PIL's Elma Paulauskaitė and Lara Bezzina conducted country studies on Lithuania and Malta on the state of play of social dialogue in the social services of general interest (SSGIs). Drawing on a mapping of employer organisations and associated structures involving employers in the SSGI sector, survey of employers and interviews with selected providers, the country cases provided the current level of employer engagement in social dialogue, challenges that could be addressed through it, and understanding of and interest in cross-industry social dialogue at the European level. The country expert for Lithuania presented findings and engaged participants in a discussion, in a roundtable organised as part of the project and involving representatives of CEEP, Wmp consult and partners, European employer organisations, Lithuanian SSGI service provider and trade union representatives.
